Top water action seems to be picking up a bit. Caught several bass and BGs on mostly black and some yellow poppers. One of the best bass is shown in the first attached pic. A simple black pattern I use a lot is a Gaines Pan Pop. See second pic.
BG, bass are hitting ok, not great. Picked up a few small bass and BGs on a dark nymph. One of the bass was pretty good size, Pic. #1. Switced over to my crazy Damsel Fly when I saw a few skating the water, small fish were taking them. Caught sevaer…

Glenn finishes school this week so he'll be able to sneak in more time and he can focus on the important stuff! I'm sure you'll see him more often!
Based on personal experience I assure you that a rainy day fishing in a muddy lake is way great.

Rain, muddy water, air temp 75. Caught a few BGs and 3 crappie on a Rickards Chub Minnow. The best one is shown in the pic. Had a group of kids around catching frogs and tadpoles, otherwise had it to myself, big surprise.
