The Bluegill Journal

For Bluegill Bass and Other Panfish

Finally had a chance to get on Greenwood Lake. Had a nice varied day of largemouth, smallies, perch, BGs on flies no larger than 10 and down to 16. Due to back issues, I've been on a 2wt rod (overlined by a 3wt). To my surprise, I had a fun time with it. The rod was made by RDP and handled itself well and took a lot of stress. It was finally nice to get on larger water. Keep eyes and ears open as some trout streams start to warm up. There are plenty of species to go for if your favorite local stream gets too warm.
